    Question

I have tanned, oily and acne prone skin. I have some pimples and some blackheads, so when I pop a pimple or extract a pimple, I put peroxide on it to clean it. I also use glyolic pads from sephora to tone my skin after cleansing. Today my face started itching so i itched it, and then this white spot, which looked like a spot of wite-out on my face, just spread in a big circle. i tried to wipe it off with a q-tip and peroxide but nothing happened. i pressed my skin around it and more of the white thing appeared. what is going on? i am scared?? what should i put on it?

    Answer

Because the spot started with itching, you might just be getting eczema, possibly from irritation from one of the products. If you have darker skin, whether naturally or from tanning, eczema can appear lighter than your normal skin. Go ahead and try some 1% hydrocortisone cream on it twice a day for 1 week. You can get this over-the-counter without a prescription. If you don't get any improvement, go ahead and see a dermatologist to determine precisely what it is.
