Question
I have been with my partner for nearly 3 years and noticed symptoms in the first 6 months. He was tested for all STIs about 9 months after we first started having sex and all came back negative. I have now been tested nearly 3 years later and came back positive for Chlamydia. Is it possible for me to have had Chlamydia before we got together and for him not to have caught it within those 9 months?
Answer
Chlamydia is the most common sexually transmitted infection in your age group and is easily passed between partners. One of you gave it to the other, so you both need to be treated immediately and not have sex until you are cleared. If you are asking if your partner cheated, I cannot answer that.
