    Question

I've been running at least 3-4 miles a day for at least 3 years now. I am 15. But my hip joints make a 'pop' or 'clunk' noise when i rotate them in the slightest. it doesn't hurt, it just sounds..... a bit off. What does this mean?

    Answer

The popping is due to a tendon rolling over a boney prominence and is common. If there is no pain, it is harmless. It is more likely to occur if muscles are tight, so stretching may help it become less frequent.
