    Question

i have gotten an yeast infection again and just got one 2 weeks ago. i'm on depo so that explains why my discharge changed from white to brown, right? my boyfriend has diabeties and he nuts in me, but they say males have yeast infections if they have diabetes?

    Answer

Sorry for the delay, I did not understand the question very well. It is possible for male sexual partners to have a yeast infection of the penis (especially if not circumcised) and transmit the yeast infection to their female sexual partners. So if you are having a recurrent yeast infection, it is a good idea for both of you to get treated. Monistat vaginal cream for you and Lotrimin cream applied to the penis twice daily for a week may be enough to clear the infection. Or else I recommend that both of you see a doctor and consider getting a prescription for Fluconazole 200mg for each of you. A one time dose usually is enough to clear the infection in both of you.
