    Question

I'm 15 years old and my boyfriend and I kind of had sex. It was my first time and he put it in for like 5 seconds and then pulled out (unprotected) but he didnt ejaculate. Now all i've been thinking about is, what if i'm pregnant? Today he fingered me and it hurt. it's not like the first time he's done it, all the times before it felt good. About 3 hours later i started to bleed. Is it just cause of rough fingering? Now i'm scared i'm pregnant. i havn't had any symptoms but every time i think about it, the area near my uterus feels weird. i dont know if it's just cause it's all i think about? help! i really want to tell my mom, but i'm way to scared.

    Answer

You are becoming sexually active but did not use a condom to protect yourself from disease, have not started on birth control and are experiencing a lot of anxiety, which all suggest to me that you are not ready for this transition.

Please do talk to your mom about your feelings and whether you think you are ready, or not. Chances are good she will NOT be supportive, but it is an important conversation to have. She can help with doctors appointments, exams, and decisions. If you are choosing to become sexually active, please use condoms and birth control to protect yourself and avoid all of this stress.
