Question
I started my period about a year and a half ago. The first year i would usually skip a month and then have my cycle again, but that stopped. Now it's been 3 months sence my last period and i'm getting worried. Do you think something's wrong?
Answer
It's not uncommon, especially in the first few years after you have started menstruating, to miss periods or have irregular menstrual cycles. This often improves as girls mature. Other causes of missed or irregular periods include pregnancy, hormone imbalances, stress, too much exercise, being underweight, etc. You should talk to your doctor about it if you are concerned.
