Question
I have herpes type 1. If I have oral sex could I give my partner herpes type 2? He has been tested and has type 2. I do not have type 2. I'm confused. thanks.
Answer
If you have oral sex (while you had an active lesion) you could give your partner Type 1. If he had an active lesion and you had sex you could get Type 2. I hope this helps.
