    Question

if the nuva ring fell out during intercourse but for less than 3 hours does it increase your risk of pregnancy?

    Answer

Per drug packet information: "If the ring is not reinserted within 3 hours, contraceptive effectiveness will be decreased. A spermicide or barrier method of contraception should be used until the ring has been in place for 7 consecutive days" It sounds like you reinserted the ring within 3 hours, and therefore should be ok. If you do not have a menses at on schedule, you should take a pregnancy test. If it was not reinserted within 3 hours you could consider using Plan B emergency contraceptive (if intercourse was less than 72 hours ago).
