    Question

Hello, my son is 14 years old in April, and he has two small lumps behind each nipple. He says they are a bit tender and he noticed them about five months ago. Is this just normal puberty or should he be examined?

    Answer

This is normal puberty. Boys can have breastbuds for 6 months to 1 year during puberty. They are often tender like a female's breast buds. Should resolve on its own.
