Question
To start off, I'm 13 and in junior high.
I'm interested in a girl, but I don't know if she's interested in me. We know each other and get along well, but I wouldn't classify us as friends. Also, I don't know if her parents will allow me to date their daughter due to the age issue. Should I take a chance and ask her out?
Answer
Well, my vote is the first step would be spending more time together, not on dates, but sharing an activity. You could invite her to spend time with your family, or doing a hobby you both enjoy, find a community event you could share - a beach clean-up, volunteer activity, parade, farmer's market...
Become friends first, then the rest will happen it it's own good time. Have fun!
