    Question

I got a depo shot in April, and I'm bleeding with a light discharge. I'm not sure what the side affects are. I was wondering if what I am having may be part of the depo. I get nauseous most of the time. My stomach itches most of the time. I would like to know if that is part of the depo.

    Answer

It is common to have irregular bleeding from the Depoprovera shot. Many people will have no menses or just irregular spotting with continued use of Depoprovera shots. Sometimes people will experience nausea after the initial injection, which improves over time.
