Question
I'm 15 years old and have never had any sexual intercourse at all. I have had the problem a couple of times where when I am trying to get my tampon out it gets stuck around some extra skin (I believe is a split hymen). My question is if I can go to the gyno and get this cut, or what I can do. It is extremely painful to pull out because this extra skin is wrapped around it. Thanks!

The best thing to do is to go see your doctor (pediatrician or family medicine doctor) for an exam, then discuss options. Good luck!
