    Question

I am on the pill and my boyfriend and I use a condom every time to be sure. We are in a serious, long-term, monogamous relationship. Can I use the pill with an IUD, patch etc., instead of with condoms?

    Answer

Birth control pills prtoect you from pregnancy and the condom protects you from sexually transmitted infections. An IUD, patch, etc., only protect you from pregnancy, so you do not need two methods of birth control.
