    Question

I'm 17 and my boyfriend is 22. I love him a lot and we've been going out for almost a year, but now he's pushing me to have sex with him (the consent age here is 17). He knows that I want to wait until I'm at least 18, but he says that it's just a year away, and why should I wait. I really love him, but I don't want to have sex yet.

    Answer

This may be hard to hear, but you asked. I believe that anyone who pressures you to have sex does not love you enough! Loving you means respecting your beliefs, thoughts, desires and boundaries. The pressure to have sex is to satisfy his sexul urges, and will not benefit you in any way if you are not ready. You will also be at risk for pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections. Stick to your guns! The right person will not pressure you!
