    Question

The opening to my vagina is kind of whiteish and pinkish, and has bumpy skin around it. It is not sore, but just a little uncomfortable. My labia and everything else looks normal. I have no unusual discharge or smells. Could this be from rough sex? My boyfriend and I have been dating for almost a year and a half and were both virgins when we had sex. We use a condom every time. What should I do?!?!

    Answer

Off to the doctor. Once you are sexually active, it is important to get a vaginal exam and pap test annually, and ask to be screened for sexually transmitted infections. Planned Parenthood is a good source if you are not insured.
