Question

I?m 17-years-old and very confused!! I don?t know where to start. This guy is so in love with me and so crazy about me. He won?t leave me alone. He calls like almost every night. Well, I use to like him but now I?m not even sure what love is. He is so cute and hot. Plus I'm scared my parent will kill me if they find out that I?m dating this guy. I'm not allowed to date anyone at this time because I'm in the last year of high school. They don?t want any distraction with my learning. I don?t know why. I think they don?t want me getting pregnant or something. I just don?t know what to do. Should I date him anyway behind my parents back or wait? I am so confused, plus I?ve never have a relationship before and I have no idea how it like. Please help. And what if I go ahead with him and he betrays me? He is so hot? I know every girl wants him.

Answer

First, going against the wishes of your parents will be stressful and is dangerous, as chances are good you will get caught. So, why not just be friends with Mr. Hot Guy? Email, chat on the phone, see him at school or in the community, and keep your focus on school. If a dance or chance to have a real date comes up, ask your parents, and be willing to discuss and negotiate. If he is worth dating now, he will be worth dating then. If he loses interest, chances are good that he was not that into you. Go carefully. Nobody likes having their heart broken!
