    Question

I'm 16, and I have been told in the past it is good to know what's going on *down there.* Whilst I was doing this, inside the vagina these is a sort of, I don't know how to describe it, a hard lump hanging down. I'm still a virgin though have had some sexual experiences. It may be me being stupid as this may be completely normal and just how my vagina is built. I was wondering if anyone knows cases like this before or has experienced it themselves? I am coming up to my period if that could have anything to do with it, but I am slightly worried because I am sure I've never felt it before now.

    Answer

This is not usual, and could be just a blocked duct. BUT part of making sure you know "what's going on down there" is checking with your doctor! If in doubt, have someone look at it. Your doctor can educate you on what looks normal and what is normal for your anatomy.
