    Question

I am 15 I have NEVER had sex in any kind of way. Lately I have experienced burning, redness, and itching in and around my vaginal area, and I have had discharge also (but I know a lot about that). I have a hunch it's a yeast infection but I'm still not sure. I have always just noticed that I have a bit of a red mark in my inner thigh kind of where the painty liner would be and I'm just a little worried about all this. Worried that it may be something bad. I'm a bit embarrased to go to my doctor and talk about this stuff and most definitly with my mother, so I'm sort of stuck. I just really need some advice and somewhat of an answer to this. Thank you.

    Answer

Well, I wish you were not reluctant to talk with your mom or doctor, but it might be yeast. So try the over-the-counter medicine you can get at the pharmacy, and if it helps, you were right. If it does not help, please see a doctor.
