    Question

I'm 12. How can I stop from being on my period? It is very miserable. Please give me some good advice.

    Answer

Sadly, the only way to stop periods is to take hormones and you are a little young for that, but talk to your doctor. However, there are many things you can do to make the period days less miserable. First, ask your doctor how much Motrin you can take, and take that many. Second, you can get little heating pads for your back at Costco - and you can wear it in front under your undies and the heat really helps cramps. Warm baths, ginger tea, and heating pads also help! Good luck!
