    Question

I'm unsure what to do right now. I don't skip meals because I know my parents watch me when I eat. Not because they think I'm ill or starving myself, but because we're eating a family meal, you know? But every time I do eat, I get this little thought in the back of my head telling me: "If I eat this I can't have some chocolate or crisps later." I don't skip generous amounts of food, just the ocassional bit of meal or snack. Is this normal? Is it just a way of healthy eating? Please help!

    Answer

Eating disorders can present in many different ways and can often be difficult to diagnosis. Anytime your appetite decreases significantly and/or for a prolonged period of time, or you find yourself thinking about food a lot, you should see your doctor.
