Question
I think I started my period. I've read all the books, know what to do. The problem is, I feel like I'm gushing blood. It says a normal amount is two to eight tablespoons or so, but I'm changing my pad at least three times a day. Nothing hurts at all, but I'm suprised at the amount of blood.

This sounds perfectly normal to me. If the flow is heavier than a pad will take, try using a small tampon. In addition to using a tampon, you might want to try a more absorbent pad. Some girls use the really thin nighttime pads because they absorb so much and are longer, so they prevent leaks.
