    Question

Should I tell my mom i am sexually active? Or go to a clinic, just to make sure everything is OK in that area on my own?

    Answer

Well that is an awfully tough question. It depends a lot on your mom and you, and your reltionship. Here are some things to consider:
    1. Have you and your mom ever talked about what happens when you become sexually active?
    2. Has she ever said "I want to know and will help you start birth control?"
    3. Has she encouraged you to talk to your doctor and make an appointment for birth control?
    4. Do you expect her to be supportive, even if disappinted?

As a mom, I would want to know, but that just might be me. Sorry, I cannot tell you what to do. It is important you see a doctor, start a reliable method of birth control, and be screened for STIs, so ... Make an appointment!

    Good luck!
