Question
After my boyfriend and I have sex, we sometimes find sand-like texture substance on the bed. I know it is coming from my vagina, but I don't think it is coming from the inside. And sometimes there are brown particles. What does this mean? Is this normal?
Answer
Though it's hard to be sure without seeing it, the sand seems far more likely to be coming from skin than from vagina. Hard to say if this is normal, but it does not sound suspicious for a disease or anything abnormal, either. It might be worth collecting a sample of the sand to bring to your doctor, to see whether further lab testing or evaluation is needed.
