    Question

Hi: I am 14 and would like to get my navel pierced, but am I too young? Will I need to wait until I know I am fully grown? If so, when is a suitable age? Thanks.

    Answer

I suggest you talk to your parents. I bet they have an opinion and you will need their consent. You have to think about risk of infection, how it will look as you grow and whether you are willing to be responsible for those risks. If you decide to go forward, involve your parents, make sure the shop is clean and sanitizes everything and then do the salt water rinses at least four times a day for as many months as they suggest.
