Question
Please help me. I am uncircumsized, sexually active and my penis is very irritated. I've read similar articles but nothing close. It hurts when I pull back my foreskin, and it seems as if my skin is peeling, and there are different shades of red on the tip. My partner is clean and so am I. I'm 19, and have never had symptoms like this. Please help me, I have no health insurence and can't afford to go see a doctor.
Answer
It sounds like you have an infection of fungus or bacteria under your foreskin called balanitis. However, we can't diagnose over the internet and you do need to seek health care for this condition. Try calling the county health department. The Family Planning department Web site indicates it will treat some illnesses and this should qualify.
