    Question

Is ovulating the same thing as having your period?

    Answer

No. Ovulating is when your ovary lets an egg out, and it travels down your fallopian tube, to your uterus. Once it lands there, if it has not met a sperm and been fertilized, then you have a period to clean your uterus out. Then the whole cycle starts again, which takes about 28 days for most women.
