    Question

I have been taking the daily oral contraceptive pill for about two years now. I have heard that taking the pill for a long period of time may affect your fertility in the future. Is this true, and what are the risks?

    Answer

I'm happy to say that your fertility is likely not impacted by the pill. The pills nowadays have lower levels of hormones, that reduce side effects but require you take them at about the same time every day. The thing that impacts fertility the most is untreated sexually transmitted infections, so use condoms!
