    Question

    What is a pap smear?

    Answer

A pap smear is a test done to look for cervical cancer in women who are sexually active (meaning they could have been exposed to HPV, which causes many cervical cancers). It is a test done by a doctor who uses a swab to collect a specimen from your cervix for a lab test.
