    Question

I'm 12 and have these bumps in the back of my tongue. They don't itch, burn or hurt. They are the same color as my gums with like white stuff around them. I'm not sure what I have. I tried showing my mom but she doesn't believe me. She tells me since I have braces I need to brush three times a day. (I brush two times.) I'm really scared. They are on my tongue next to my uvula. I looked at them and started to cry because I thought I would die or have something bad. I really need your help thank you so much.

    Answer

Please do not worry - just call your doctor and make an appointment. You can also ask your orthodontist when you get you braces checked. Deep breath - your body is changing a lot now and things will change - just talk to your doctor.
