    Question

How can therapy help? What is the process to help a rape/abuse victim out instead of keeping silent? I'm 18 years old. When I was around 7 or 8 years old, three of my cousins and a neighbor tried and almost raped me (for almost a year) when my parents went to work.

    Answer

Keeping things inside and not talking about them can cause long-term grief, sadness, and trouble building relationships. Talking really does help you move on with your life. The Rape Abuse Incest National Network is available 24/7 to talk and can put you in touch with a counselor near you - to continue the talking. The web site is : http://www.rainn.org/index.php and the phone number is 1-800-656-HOPE! Call or visit today - you deserve to feel good!
