    Question

I have a lot of cramps when I start my period. They make me cry and I've been having like a big flow and clots. I always have clots. Is that normal? My period lasts too long, up to 8 days. Is that normal as well?

    Answer

Nope, not normal and there is a lot of help to help with the cramps and amount of flow. Make an appointment with your doctor to discuss the alternatives and what you can do to help with the cramps. My house (with two adolescent girls) loves fresh ginger tea with honey, and hot pads, for cramps. No need to be in pain. Talk to your doctor. Just FYI, she may ask you how much you bleed, usually measured by how often you have to replace a pad or tampon.
