    Question

I got my lip pierced about a month ago (snakebites), and I have a hard lump around one of the piercings (it's been there a week or two). It doesn't really hurt, but it worries me because it's only on one side. Also, the side of my lip with the lump has gotten really swollen , almost as big as it was when I first got it pierced. It's not hot, painful, or oozing, and I don't have any fever. My mom wants to take me back to the piercer and have him take a look and tell us if it?s healing properly. Should I go to the doctor instead?

    Answer

I would do either, and maybe both! Try soaking the piercing in warm salty water three times a day, too!
