    Question

I was on birth control for about a week. I had unprotected sex one day 48 hours after starting my birth control. For bout three days I had brownish/ light pink discharge. What does this mean?

    Answer

I am not sure it means anything. However, we suggest being on the pill for at least a month before counting it as effective birth control, and we encourage people to also use a condom to protect against sexuallly transmitted infection. All you can do is continue to take the pills and wait. If your period does not start, please see you doctor.
