    Question

Hi. I'm 13 and I had a spotting four months ago for a day, but I still haven't had any other sight of blood or anything. However, after my period I've been getting a milky colored liquid and it smells bad. Is this normal? I haven't had sex or anything because I'm 13 but is this normal?

    Answer

Most likely it is perfectly normal and smells OK, and nobody else can smell it, but you can ask your mom. It is common for young girls to sort of start their period and then not have any bleeding for months. Just keep track, and then if it stays irregular, have a chat with your doctor. She can also help you feel better about the vaginal discharge being normal. If the discharge bugs you, wear a little panty liner.
