ok I'm in this situation that i like this girl and this girl likes me. but i am too old for her and everyone tells me that if it is love then go for it. i just don't want to get the law involved or go to jail or anything like that. first we are gunna tell her parents or i that a good this? what should we do? we need help i do love her and she loves me but we can't be together cuz of our age

Dear Teen: You didn't say how old this girl is and that could make a difference in terms of the law. If she is quite young like 13 or 14 you need to look at why you are both attracted to each other. For instance, you may not have much in common with her if she is so young and you are at a much different level of development. Your willingness to talk it over with her parents is a good sign of taking care of both of you in the relationship. When you are both adults this age gap won't be so great and you will have a better chance of forming a lasting relationship. When you love someone, it can be worth the wait.
