    Question

I was recently diagnosed with an HPV wart. I'm not sure how long the wart has been there for, but I only recently noticed it. I've been with the same person for years, and am certain that he has been faithful. How could this happen?

    Answer

I am so sorry. It is likely that one of you brought HPV into the relationship - as a person can have the virus for a long time and not know it, which is why the HPV shots are so important. Talk to your partner and doctor about getting your partner tested and developing a plan to protect him if he does not have it.
