    Question

I have been diagnosed with skin tags in my vaginal area. I have noticed that they are multiplying, they don't hurt unless they are irradiated. I have had a pap and HPV didn't come back. Is it possible for skin tags to multiply and hurt some times?

    Answer

Skin tags are common in body folds, which include the underarms, neck, leg folds, and vaginal area. They are harmless and can become tender if irritated. They don't multiply, but it seems like you are developing a lot of them. If you are overweight, weight loss will help, as the people with lots of skin tags usually tend to be the most overweight. If they bother you, you can see if your doctor will snip or freeze them off. Good luck!
