    Question

If I want to get help or go to a doctor about having an eating disorder, what privacy rights do I have so my parents aren't told?

    Answer

We've looked in several places and it appears that "confidential services" does not apply to eating disorders--only to those involving sexual issues. But note that if you are 18 then you are a legal adult so privacy does certainly apply and your provider DOES NOT NEED TO inform your parents. Of course, marshalling family support is always a good thing when such support is available.
