Question
Is there anything I can do about swelling of my feet/legs/face and hands?
Answer

The amount of blood in your body increases approximately 40 percent during your pregnancy. Your body is holding on to extra fluid. As a result, it is very common to have swelling of feet/legs/hands and even face. Again, maintain regular, gentle exercise. Move around frequently during the day. Try to avoid standing for long periods. Put your feet up and rest throughout the day. Avoid tight clothing. Continue to drink plenty of fluids. Drinking more fluids will not cause more swelling. It will help your body eliminate waste.
