Health Care: Palo Alto Medical Foundation

Humanity & Technology: a vital balance

Medicine is both an art and a science. The chain of caregiving is forged through human contact that links families and patients with physicians, nurses and the countless other individuals so necessary to providing quality health care. Another important component is medical technology. Placed in capable hands, medical instrumentation and equipment can bring enormous benefits to patients, whether used to aid in diagnosis or to promote healing.

While the realm of humanity and that of technology are intrinsically different from one another, both must be present for us to maintain the balance of care. The many patients of the Palo Alto Medical Foundation know this, for when they step through our doors, they will not only experience humanity at its best, but they will also have access to some of the most advanced medical technologies available anywhere. Over the past two years, our continuing ability to deliver quality health care has been the impetus for many generous gifts from our community. It is support that we value greatly, and depend upon daily.
