Animals in the Workplace Policy at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation

The Palo Alto Medical Foundation's (PAMF) Animals in the Workplace Policy acknowledges the rights of individuals with disabilities to use service animals -- any animal trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with physical or emotional disabilities.

The policy distinguishes between service animals, including seeing-eye dogs, and non-service animals, and describes which areas and under which circumstances service animals may be allowed in patient care areas.
