Elizabeth Gallivan Snedden, M.D.
Dr. Elizabeth Snedden joined the Camino Medical Group (now part of the Palo Alto Medical Foundaton) in 1995. She is a specialist in cataract surgery and complicated cataract surgery related to glaucoma. She has performed more than 3500 cataract surgeries including using both the accommodating (Crystalens) and multifocal (Rezoom) implants.
Born and raised in California, Dr. Snedden attended the University of California, Berkeley, majoring in Microbiology and Immunology. She received her medical degree in 1990 from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. After completing her internship at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Dr. Snedden did her residency at the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. She then completed a glaucoma fellowship at the University of Southern California Doheny Eye Institute in Los Angeles.
Dr. Snedden is board certified and a member of the American Glaucoma Society. She is a past president of the Peninsula Eye Society and has a professional interest in glaucoma and cataract surgery. In her spare time, she enjoys fly-fishing, tennis, fencing, travel and photography.
