Breastfeeding Experience Survey
Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) recognizes that your decision to breastfeed is one of the first healthy choices you make for your child; but we also know women experience challenges in both starting and continuing breastfeeding.
In 2010 to learn how to better support all mothers and babies we created the Bay Area Breastfeeding Experience Survey (BABES) and invited our breastfeeding and pregnant patients to participate. After six years of sharing your breastfeeding experiences, you have helped us learn a great deal about what is important for the success of mothers and babies.
Beginning in January 2016, we will no longer be collecting surveys for the BABES study. Patients who have previously enrolled in the BABES study are welcome to complete any outstanding surveys prior to January 2016. We plan to update the BABES Survey Outcomes page with the final, cumulative study findings in March 2016.
We want to thank all of the mothers who have participated in the BABES study over the last six years. You have generously shared your experiences with us, and we will continue to utilize this information to improve the experience of future mothers and babies served by the Sutter Health hospital system.
If you have specific questions or want to speak with our staff, please call our BABES Hotline at 650-853-6512.
