If you are diagnosed with cancer, you want your questions answered and fears understood. You want to be led through the treatment process and given the information you need to make informed decisions. You want access to the most sophisticated treatment and state-of-the-art equipment. Most of all, you want to be treated like the most important person in the world. You want the Palo Alto Medical Foundation’s (PAMF) Cancer Care Program.
Coordinated, Compassionate Care
At PAMF, you’ll receive all of your care—from diagnosis to treatment through recovery—from a team of doctors, nurse practitioners, clinicians and staff who work closely together to monitor your care and progress and provide the best treatment.
Guiding you through your individual treatment journey are PAMF nurse navigators and oncology nurses. They will answer your questions and help you make informed decisions about your care, coordinate your appointments with medical team members, teach you and your family about managing side effects—and anything else you may need to make your treatment process as smooth and worry-free as possible.
Next-Generation Treatment, Personalized For You
Using the most effective and sophisticated technology and treatment techniques available is nothing new for PAMF.
We were one of the first health care organizations in the nation to use electronic health records, which help coordinate your treatment seamlessly among your care team. For years, we have been using three-dimensional treatment planning and intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), cone beam computed tomography (CT) and pre-therapy simulation. We also offer minimally invasive, robotic-assisted surgery for certain procedures.
PAMF offers the most advanced radiosurgery treatment using equipment that only a handful of health care providers in the world have access to, particularly in outpatient settings. This technology allows our doctors to treat brain tumors and cancers in all parts of the body with unsurpassed accuracy—all with fewer side effects, greater comfort and improved outcomes.
In addition, we provide you with a list of PAMF's highly qualified cancer treatment team, giving you the chance to choose the cancer doctor in Northern California that will best serve you.
