Multidisciplinary Care
Cancer care is delivered at PAMF within a multidisciplinary care team environment, involving a group of highly skilled professionals that specialize in specific types of cancer. Combining quality care with the latest technology and approaches to treatment, we believe that this approach to cancer treatment and care is beneficial to our patients.

- Multidisciplinary Coordinated Consults (all sites) -- For our prostate cancer patients, multidisciplinary care gives them the opportunity to learn about all of the treatment options and through a team of expert psychologists, nutritionists and holistic care specialists get support through the cancer care journey both emotionally and physically.
- Multi-D Clinic (Palo Alto Center) -- For newly diagnosed breast and prostate cancer patients, these two- to three-hour visits, patients can meet with the team of specialists selected for them. Multi-D Clinic gives the newly patients the opportunity to learn about all of the treatment options, as well as all of the support services offered at PAMF, within one session. The team can consist of a cancer nurse navigator, surgical or medical oncologist, registered dietician or a medical social worker (MSW).
- Tumor Board (all sites) -- A tumor board is a multispecialty group of health care providers who meet to review and discuss diagnostic information and medical treatment options for patients with cancer.
