Cancer Care Resources
A strong commitment to patient education and support has always been one of PAMF's hallmarks. Each of our cancer specialties maintains a small library of books and educational videos that may be checked out, as well as a number of free pamphlets on cancer-related topics.
Patients at the Cancer Care Clinic can also take advantage of PAMF's Community Health Resource Center, located on level 2 of the Palo Alto Clinic. There are also resource centers at our Fremont Center and at Dublin Center locations. The center is staffed by a registered nurse educator and trained volunteers who can help visitors gather appropriate information from numerous multimedia sources, including books, videos, computer databases and the Internet.
The Cancer Care program also provides patients with financial counseling, nutritional support, psychological support and listings for support groups both here at PAMF and in the community.
PAMF cancer physicians are also proud to offer quality cancer information from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). PAMF and ASCO are working together to improve the lives of those affected by cancer.
In addition, in this section provides you will find a number of recommended online educational resources about cancer and the treatment options that you have in fighting this disease. We also maintain a number of educational handouts that you may find helpful.
