There are a number of cancer support groups in the Bay Area. Here is a partial list:

PAMF Cancer Support Group: A therapist-led group that includes both individuals dealing with a cancer diagnosis as well as family members and friends. Not all family members are accompanied by the person with the cancer diagnosis. It is a safe place where thoughts, feelings and concerns about cancer are discussed.

Caregivers Support Group: Caregivers face unique challenges, and many find it comforting to share their experiences with others in similar situations.

Community Cancer Support Groups: The Palo Alto Medical Foundation maintains a small database of national and community cancer support groups working in our area.

Healing Imagery for Cancer Patients Support Group: Whether you are newly diagnosed with cancer, in the midst of medical treatment or dealing with recurrent or metastatic cancer, you are invited to join Medical Hypnotherapist Jeanne Fournier, to experience healing meditations and deep relaxation exercises.

Young Moms Support Group: An accepting and welcoming place where young mothers under 45 years of age can talk openly and safely about their unique issues and challenges with cancer.
