Patient-Focused Cancer Care Committee
PAMF's Patient-Focused Cancer Care Committee was created in 2006 to ensure that all patients receive high-quality care as part of a compassionate team. This high-quality care includes:
- Staff knowledge of disease and treatment
- Excellent multidisciplinary care
- Listening, awareness and compassion
- Mutual respect and trust
- Advocacy
- Shared decision-making on medical and financial matters
- Family- and patient-centered support systems
As part of this patient-focused cancer care, the committee ensures that patients have the correct information at the correct time, efficient care processes and resources for most aspects of care and beyond. The committee has created a visionary Cancer Survivorship Program that supports survivors while they transition back into a normal life. Patients and families know they can get their concerns addressed and that long-term stability and support is available to them. At PAMF, the patients are empowered to be an equal part of their care team.
