Sung H. Chun, M.D.
Sung H. Chun, M.D., received his M.D. degree from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. in 1989 after graduating from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Science in medical microbiology. He completed an internship and residency at the University of California, Los Angeles/West Los Angeles Veteran's Affairs Medical Center, and fellowships in cardiovascular medicine and cardiac electrophysiology at Stanford University Medical Center.
Prior to joining the Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF), Dr. Chun held positions as program director for the cardiac electrophysiology fellowship, director of pacemaker and device services and assistant professor of cardiovascular medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine.
Dr. Chun currently serves as the director of cardiac arrhythmia service at PAMF.
His professional interests include resynchronization therapy for heart failure management, atrial fibrillation ablation and laser lead extraction. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and electrophysiology. He is fluent in Korean.
Dr. Chun enjoys golfing, autocrossing and raising his dogs and parrots.
