Baby Care (Mountain View)
This hour and a half class will teach you the basics for a great start to caring for you new baby. Topics covered in this class include normal infant behavior and development, bathing, swaddling, sleep patterns, and reading and responding to your baby's cues. Couples are encouraged to take this class in the last trimester, about 4-6 weeks before baby is due.

Breastfeeding Your Newborn - Monday (Mountain View)
Learn about the benefits of breastfeeding, positions for feeding, signs that a feeding is going well, what to do if a feeding is not going well and strategies for returning to work while breastfeeding.

Childbirth Preparation 2-Session (Mountain View)
This two-session series taught by a team of labor-delivery nurses includes instruction in relaxation, breathing techniques and signs and stages of labor. Instructors will also cover epidurals and C-sections. Class includes a tour of the El Camino Hospital Labor-Delivery Unit.
We recommend that you choose a class that will finish approximately 4-6 weeks before your due date. Please register promptly as these classes fill up two to three months in advance.
Labor partners are encouraged to attend.

Infant & Child CPR (Mountain View)
Learn to recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in both infants and children up to 8 years old. This hands-on class uses both infant and child manikins to teach both infant and child CPR.

Infant Emergencies & CPR (Mountain View)
Learn what to do for basic infant emergencies and participate in hands-on practice for Infant CPR. In this class you will learn who to call and what to do for many common infant emergencies situations. You will also learn to identify when a situation involving an infant becomes life-threatening. Infant manikins are used for the CPR portion of the class.

OB Orientation (Mountain View)
Discussion covers nutrition, exercise, physical changes, morning sickness, medications safe to take and what to expect on prenatal visits to your doctor.

Preparing for Baby (Mountain View)
This class is recommended for expectant parents in the second trimester. You will learn about baby-proofing your home with tips to avoid the top five dangers to children. You will see and discuss basic safety devices including some "do it yourself" ideas. Car seat safety will be discussed in overview only.

Welcome to Pediatrics (Mountain View)
This one hour seminar for expectant parents is offered monthly. Led by a PAMF Camino Division Pediatrician, you will learn about how the pediatrics department works, what happens in the hospital and what to look for in the first few weeks with baby. The doctor covers feeding, common skin conditions, colic and when to call for help. You will also be introduced (via Power Point) to our Camino Division Pediatricians.
